Our school councillors are student‑elected leaders who show our school values in all that they do. They are trusted by their peers and staff to represent our kura with mana and integrity.
As positive role models, our councillors support other students by showing kindness, respect and responsibility in everyday school life. They help encourage others to make good choices and speak up when someone needs support.
Councillors also take on extra responsibilities across the school, such as helping at events and supporting important school routines. Throughout the year, they work on projects that lift the culture of our school and make SLRS an even better place for all our tamariki and whānau.
In 2026, they will be continuing the work started by our 2025 council team to develop our interactive playground.
