Reading, writing and Maths remain our core subjects and are integrated across the curriculum where teachers make explicit reading - writing - maths links. This sees us take a hands on approach, making learning fun. We draw from students rich cultural experiences, engage with our local community and use STEAM to foster curiosity and develop student agency.
Inquiry Learning Cycle
Our inquiry cycle has four phases to guide learning in classrooms helping our students become independent learners.
Jump In – students participate in experiences around our learning theme that spark curiosity
Get Curious – students begin to ask questions about the learning theme, we call this part 'Chalk it up!'
Get Learning – students seek answers to their questions from a variety of sources
Get Going – students share what they have learnt and take action as a result of their learning.
